The Client required a functional and larger dining and lounge space to replace their previous dark and low ceilinged dining space. Together with the client an idea of two separate tents was conceived. Separate dining and lounges were positioned to offer views across the savannah from the serene forest environment. The client asked that the spaces provided be open, light and airy.
A combination of full height and low walls was used to achieve this with the wall elements being rope tied onto the tent up-rights to establish a feeling of transience to the tents. Colours were chosen to match the colour scheme that already existed in the camp and a dark shade-net above the roof helps the structures to blend into their environment.
